Established in 1990 by Harout Khachatryan and operating out of the Burbank Tennis Center, our academy has been dedicated to nurturing and developing tennis talent for over three decades. As a family-owned and operated facility, now under the expert guidance of Andranik Khachatryan, we pride ourselves on creating a supportive and dynamic environment for players of all levels.

Arpi Bagumyan
Tigran Martiroyan
Director, Marketing & Operations
Senior Coach
Before joining KTA, Arpi worked at AEG, where they managed sponsorships and marketing efforts for the iconic Crypto.com Arena (formerly Staples Center), the LA Lakers, LA Kings, L.A. LIVE, and collaborated with the LA Sparks.

Arpi also has a strong tennis background. She grew up playing the sport, attended Weil Tennis Academy during high school, and later played Division I tennis at California State University, Northridge. After CSUN, Arpi earned a Master’s in Sport Management from the University of San Francisco.

She is thrilled to be back in the tennis world and working alongside Coach Harut and Andranik to help grow KTA into the high-performance academy it’s destined to be.
Tigran brings over 35 years of tennis experience, including a rich competitive background in junior, collegiate, and professional tennis. As an All-American at the University of Kentucky, he achieved a career-high professional ranking of 361 and recorded wins over top 100 players.
With 15 years of coaching experience, Tigran has worked with promising juniors, aspiring college and professional players, and recreational adults. He has directed high-performance junior programs and produced nationally ranked players.
Originally from Yerevan, Armenia, Tigran moved to the U.S. at 15, attended Burbank High, and began his college career at Loyola Marymount University before transferring to the University of Kentucky.
We are excited to have Tigran's expertise and passion at Khachatryan Tennis Academy, where he continues to inspire and develop players at all levels.


Davit Ismailian

Nick Sologdinov
Coach
Davit is an experienced tennis coach and former collegiate player who competed at San Diego Christian College, where the team was ranked #10 in the US in the NAIA. He brings over 18 years of playing experience and a distinguished coaching background that spans 10 years in both private and academy settings, including collegiate coaching at Glendale Community College. Davit also holds an MS in Sports and Performance Psychology and has consulted with multiple athletes at the ATP, WTA, NCAA Division 1, and junior levels.
Beyond tennis, Davit's expertise extends to working with professional MMA fighters and nationally ranked junior golfers, underscoring his broad proficiency in sports psychology and athlete development. Winner of the 2016 ITA Arthur Ashe Award, his favorite aspect of coaching is pursuing challenging goals with his clients, guiding them to realize their full potential.
We are thrilled to have Davit as part of our coaching team at Khachatryan Tennis Academy, where his diverse experience and passion for sports performance continue to inspire and elevate athletes across disciplines.
Coach Nick is an experienced tennis coach with a strong background in both competitive play and coaching. He began playing tennis at the age of 6 and quickly rose through the ranks, competing in numerous national tournaments across Russia.
By the age of 18, he transitioned from a professional player to a full-time coach,.During his professional playing career, Coach Nick served as a sparring partner for ATP players ranked gaining invaluable experience working with some of the best in the sport.

Andranik Khachatryan

Andranik began playing tennis at 9 after moving to Los Angeles from Armenia. His early success in Southern California's junior ranks led to top national rankings and a scholarship at San Diego State University. An injury shifted his focus to coaching.
Ando loves passing on his knowledge to young players, emphasizing dedication and passion instilled by his coaches and father. His primary goal at Khachatryan Tennis Academy is to build a good name and heart, ensuring everyone learns and has fun.
Continuing his father's legacy, Ando is committed to developing athletes and individuals. We are proud to have him lead our academy with his vision, experience, and passion for tennis.
Founder & Senior Coach
Harout is the esteemed founder of Khachatryan Tennis Academy and a former top 20 professional tennis player in the Soviet Union. His illustrious playing career set the foundation for his transition into coaching.
With over 40 years of coaching experience, Harout has notably served as the coach for the Armenian National Davis Cup team and the Soviet Union National Junior Davis Cup team. His profound knowledge and passion for tennis have been pivotal in mentoring numerous players at both national and international levels.
At KTA, Harout continues to inspire and develop players of all ages, using his vast expertise and unique insights to enrich their tennis journey.
